Task 1: Guessing (5 minutes)
In this task you are going to work in your selected groups. The idea is that you have to discuss the following questions.Note: There is no wrong answer and you will need to use your answers in task 3.
Discuss and answer the following questions:
- Who was Joseph Staling?
- Why was he important?
- Name one remarkable thing he had done.
- Do you think he was a nice person?
- What was his role in the Second World War?
Task 2: Joseph Stalin Biography
(30 minutes)
Since we have not discussed anything about Joseph Stalin, you have probably just guessed an answer at task one. We want you to know who Joseph Stalin is. Therefore, we have selected a documentary which describes who Stalin was and what he did.
For this assignment we will work with a program called Kahoot.
Activity 1: Take out your smartphones and download the App Kahoot (if you have not done so).

Task3: Vocabulary (10 minutes)
You have just watched a documentary about Joseph Stalin. Some new vocabulary that you have not encountered yet has been used within this video. In your selected groups, your task is to match these new words with the right picture. After you have matched all words, use each word in a sentence.
Activity:
Choose a word --> Match it to the correct picture --> Create a sentence using that word.
Task 4: Guessed right? (15 minutes)
In task 1 you were asked to answer some questions based on Joseph Stalin. How many questions did you answer correctly?
What was completely new to you and what do you consider remarkable? Were you shocked when you heard about what he had done? What was his role in the Second World War?
Last but not least. The documentary is named "The most evil man in History". Do you think this is a suitable name?
Explain your answers using at least 100 words and include at least 5 of the new words that were mentioned today.
